Dan attended Yeshiva University and has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management. He went on to attain a Masters of Education from Hofstra University and teaches fourth grade in public school during the daytime. In addition to all of this, he is working with students on the autism spectrum in a residential school setting.
Dan is currently working on an Advanced Post-Graduate Degree in Educational Leadership from Stony Brook University and has an extensive background in Jewish education and youth development.
His background in Jewish education includes teaching Hebrew school at the Merrick Jewish Centre, Congregation Ohav Sholom in Merrick, and the Merrick Community Hebrew High School. He has also served as Youth Director at Congregation Ohav Sholom in Merrick and Temple Gates of Prayer in Flushing, Queens. Dan has also worked with USY and is excited to continue that relationship and bring the spirit and excitement of USY to B’nai Sholom-Beth David.
Dan has a strong belief in the importance of community service. In his free time he volunteers at a local soup kitchen in Queens, and runs a free tutoring clinic for low-income students and their families.
His hobbies include running, cycling, and reading.
