Principal Dan Seid is excited to serve as the Congregation B’nai Sholom-Beth David Educational Director.
Principal Seid attended Yeshiva University and has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management. He went on to attain a Masters of Education from Hofstra University and teaches in the Public Schools during the daytime. Mr. Seid is currently working on an Advanced Post-Graduate Degree in Educational Leadership from Stony Brook University and has an extensive background in Jewish education and youth development. Mr. Seid has taught Hebrew school at the Merrick Jewish Centre, Congregation Ohav Sholom in Merrick, and at the Merrick Community Hebrew High School. Mr. Seid has served as Youth Director at Congregation Ohav Sholom in Merrick and Temple Gates of Prayer in Flushing, Queens. Mr. Seid has also worked with USY and is excited to continue that relationship and bring the spirit and excitement of USY to B’nai Sholom.
Mr. Seid has experience working with students on the autism spectrum in a residential school setting as well as teaching fourth grade in a local public school.
Mr. Seid also believes in the importance of community service and in his free time volunteers at a local soup kitchen in Queens, and runs a free tutoring clinic for low-income students and their families.
In his free time, he enjoys running, cycling, and reading most of all.
